Members may belong to other faiths and religions; the purpose of GBAE is to explore the aspects of these organizations and social philosophy to seek out what it means to be a good person.
III. It is believed that many organizations falter due to the involvement of monetary and material gains. Therefore, GBAE is to at no time hold or collect any monies, materials, property, or other methods or concepts of monetary value. There are to be no dues, donations, collections, or fees. All GBAE members are expected to provide for themselves or at the benefit of another during any Society gathering or related event.
The Society nor any of its members claim holdings, property, or money in the name of GBAE, nor claims any tax benefit. The Society will never incorporate and functions as a loose confederation of likeminded persons gathered under the protection of the First Amendment.
All meetings are to be held in public places or open spaces where persons are permitted to gather. This is to reflect that the society is open to all and for all to understand.
There is to be no single leader of the Society. Each meeting will have a discussion leader who is nominated during the previous meeting. There is no ordainment. All members are eligible to lead at any time.
A member is not to open a conversation with a non-member with the intention of persuading membership or belief. Rather, membership is driven by non-members asking members about the Society. Curiosity about the Society may be born out of natural conversation or philosophical discussion that leads the non-member’s interest. There is to never be a concerted effort to increase membership or spread belief to non-members.
GBAE does not prescribe or asway a belief in any deity(ies). Members are encouraged to believe as best fits their spiritual views. The Society is about taking the best parts of all faiths with regards to the ethical interaction with humanity and promotion of acceptance, inclusion, and diversity.
